Sister Mary of Saint-Peter

Carmelite Nun

1816-1848

Perrine Elučre was born in Rennes, France in 1816 from a modest and good Christian family. She was brought up as a good catholic and filled with the grace of prayer early in her childhood. She quickly made progress in the love of God and her neighbours.

She joins the Carmelite monastery of Tours in 1839. She received the name of sister Mary of Saint-Peter. Her only ambition was to serve the Holy Family.

She was granted special graces that enabled her to understand better the "Sanctity of the Name of God", the "Maternity of Mary" and the "Holy Name of Jesus and most of all the need to repair for all the blasphemies and non observance of Sundays and feast days through a special devotion to the Holy Face.

Throughout her life she remained faithful, obedient and humble preoccupied only by the glory of God and the salvation of souls.

She died saintly on the 8th July 1848 in the Carmelite Monastery of Tours.

Saint Teresa of the Infant-Jesus revered her and was always wearing on her relics and her image in her "Little Gospel" on her heart. The message of sister Mary

"Our Lord opened my heart and told me these words: "My Name is taken in vain, even by children !" Then he made me understand that this awful sin was hurting His Heart deeply.

He dictated to me an act of reparation and praise called "The Golden Arrow". He assured me that every time that I would say it His Heart will be wounded by Love. And I had the vision of His Heart pouring out a torrent of graces for the conversion of sinners".

"The Golden Arrow"

An act of Praise and Reparation

Dictated by our Lord to Sr. Mary of Saint -Peter

May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible and ineffable Name of God be forever praised, blessed, loved adored and glorified, in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Amen.

"Those who will contemplate the wounds on my Face here on earth, shall contemplate it radiant in heaven"

As in a kingdom you can procure all you wish for with a coin marked with the King's effigy, so in the Kingdom of Heaven you will obtain all you desire with the precious coin of My Holy Face".

"Our Lord showed me the Church, his Bride. which is the Face of his mystical body. All the blasphemers by doing so, are spitting at his Face and injuring it. By their actions they are renewing his Passion.

He told me that all those who are doing works of Reparation will imitate what the pious Veronica did.

I understood that as the Sacred Heart was given to our adoration as a sign of His Love in the Blessed Sacrament of the altar, his Holy Face is given to the adoration of those who wish to do works of Reparation.

"My daughter, I give you my Face and my Heart, I give you my Blood, I open my Wounds, draw and pour , draw and pour. Buy without money, My Blood is the price paid for souls. It is a great sorrow to My Heart to see that all those remedies that have cost so much are looked down. Ask my Father for as many souls as drops of Blood I shed during my Passion."

"By My Holy Face you shall work miracles.

"Nothing that you ask in making this offering will be refused to you."

If you knew how pleasing the sight of My Face is to my Father."

"O Almighty and Eternal God, look upon the Face of your Son Jesus. We present it to you with confidence, and implore your pardon.

The All-Merciful Advocate opens His mouth to plead our cause; hearken to his cries, behold His tears, O God and through His infinite merits hearken to Him when He intercedes for us poor miserable sinners. Amen."

"Eternal Father, I offer you the adorable Face of your Beloved Son for the honour and glory of your Name, for the conversion of sinners and for the salvation of the dying."

"Look for "Veronicas" to wipe and honour my divine Face… So few Adorers !"
